He began this journey as a medical student as an undergraduate at UCLA. He earned an osteopathic medicine doctorate at Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After graduation, Dr. Mozingo completed an internship at the Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center, followed by a three-year stint as an emergency room physician and air evacuation officer for the U.S. Army in Germany. He completed his postdoctoral clinical training with an anesthesiology and pain medicine residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. and the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California.
Dr. Mozingo is a diplomate of the Academy of Integrative Pain Management and an active member of the International Intervention Society, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the Central Coast Medical Association, the California Society of Anesthesiologists, the California Medical Association, the American Medical Association and the North American Neuromodulation Society.
